Security Policy
Natixis Funds is dedicated to creating and maintaining a site that gives investors access to information about Natixis Funds, their personal account(s), and general information about their investments. This Security Policy outlines the standards that Natixis Funds has created in an effort to protect the personal information that you provide while using this site. There are several terms you should be familiar with as you read this policy:
"Secure vs. Unsecure" - Secure is a term used to identify areas of the website in which all data is encrypted to protect it from being viewed by third parties. Unsecure areas of the website are not protected by encryption and therefore information may potentially be intercepted and viewed by others.
"Password Protected" - This term is used to describe a website or area of a website for which a password must be entered before accessing. It is important to remember that a password protected site is not necessarily a secure site.
"Cookies" - Cookies are tiny data files that can be put on a users hard drive upon visiting a website. These files enable the site to identify repeat visitors and tailor the site to their preferences. Cookies will not affect the performance of your computer.
"Encryption" - Encryption is a way of encoding electronic data designed to prevent eavesdropping by an outside party as it travels over the Internet. The term "128 bit" refers to the length of the key (code) used to encrypt or scramble the data being transmitted. The longer the key, the more difficult it is for an outside party to intercept and break the code. 128-bit encryption is the strongest level of encryption currently available.
Specific Natixis Funds standards with regard to personal information are as follows:
- Protection of Shareholder Account Information - The secure area of our website allows investors to view account information and process transactions. This section uses 128-bit encryption and requires each user to pass through a security check before entering. Natixis Funds has chosen this high level of encryption in an effort to better protect our investors.
These security measures include the establishment and use of a Personal Identification Number (PIN) before allowing users to enter the secure areas of our site. We have also limited the availability of certain functions to shareholders and any shareholder may restrict online transaction capabilities on their account(s) altogether by calling our Investor Services and Marketing Group at 800-225-5478.
Natixis Funds obtains only statistical data relating to usage of the secure areas of the website; personal information is not gathered in these areas.
- Use of "Cookies" - Natixis Funds may also use cookies when users enter our site. This will allow us to identify the user, observe which sections of the site are visited, gain insight into which areas of the site are most frequently used, and enable us to tailor the site to individual needs. The cookies used in the password-protected and secure areas of the site will reside on the user's computer.
A temporary cookie may also be used on unsecure sections of our site in order to relay information that is input on one page of the site by the shareholder to other areas that require the same information (i.e.; different financial calculators), this relieves the user from having to input the same data on multiple pages. Temporary cookies will not be placed on your computer's hard drive and are only used during the current session; they are discarded once you terminate your session.
Cookies are activated only during visits to the Natixis Funds site and do not track activity once a user leaves the site.
Thank you once again for visiting our site. For more information about the protection of nonpublic information collected on this site, please view our privacy policy.
