The following position is available in this department:
Senior Application Developer
Overall Summary
We are seeking a candidate with strong design, development, and time management skills to work as part of a technical development and implementation team in the financial industry. Candidates should also possess project level task management experience; managing multiple technical tasks to implement critical time-sensitive deliverables.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement project level enhancements using application coding practices and development and testing methodology.
- Isolate application and architectural issues – recommend and implement resolutions.
- Provide internal and external customer documentation.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Communicate schedules and status at all levels of the organization.
- Assemble and manage resources as needed.
- Provide functional, on-going leadership in planning/scheduling the implementation of projects.
- Communicate effectively with all areas across the organization to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicate and manage Vendor specific deliverable in coordination with project tasks.
- Recommend, implement and/or develop test tools.
Experience/Skills Required
- 6 Years development experience with Java 1.5+.
- Experience with Eclipse.
- Experience with Servlets & JSPs.
- Experience with JDBC and relational databases – MSSQL.
- Experience with XML/XSL/XPath.
- Experience writing technical documentation.
- Experience with financial applications desirable but not required.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
Additional Experience desirable, but not required:
- Java Application Server (JBoss preferred)
- Object-Relationship Mapping (Kodo preferred)
- Java ServerFaces (JSF)
- Swing
- Subversion
- ETL tools
- JMS, EJB, JMX
- Cygwin, Unix scripting

- Proven project management skills in order to manage, review and / or build detail project plans as necessary to ensure the overall success of the project.
